AMOX-C-200

AMOX-C-200 is a broad-spectrum antibacterial formulation combining amoxicillin
and colistin sulphate for synergistic action. Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic
beta-lactam antibiotic effective against a wide range of Gram-positive
and Gramnegative bacteria. It may be susceptible to degradation by
beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. Colistin Sulphate is a polymyxin
antibiotic with potent bactericidal activity against certain Gram-negative bacteria
including Salmonella spp. and E. coli. It acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract
and also exhibits anti-endotoxin properties.
Together, the combination provides enhanced antibacterial efficacy in the
treatment of gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tract infections.
